Benefits of Using the LaserCap

LaserCap

When it comes to protecting, renewing, and restoring hair, everyone’s course of treatment is unique. Some people may require a surgical solution, while others – especially those who are in the very early stages of hair loss – may do best with a home-based, nonsurgical approach.

One of these revolutionary nonsurgical tools for stimulating hair growth is photobiologic therapy – also known as the LaserCap®. It’s an FDA-cleared laser therapy technology that looks like a regular baseball cap, and you wear it for only 30 minutes every other day.

The LaserCap extends the growth cycle of miniaturized hair follicles resulting in longer and thicker hair strands. Because the hair strands are thicker and because each strand lasts longer before shedding, you will notice fuller-looking hair and an improvement in the quality of your hair.

How the LaserCap Works

As its name implies, the LaserCap is a light, flexible, baseball-style cap that is lined inside (invisibly to others) with true laser diodes, which are electronic components. When wearing the cap, it illuminates your hair follicles with monochromatic red laser light beams at a finely tuned wavelength and intensity.

Known as Low-Level-Laser Therapy (LLLT), it’s a scientifically proven, prescription-strength means of triggering hair regrowth. This pulsed-wave emission technology works in both men and women who are experiencing hair thinning and balding.

Red laser light is absorbed by specialized cells deep within your hair follicles, providing energy to enhance cellular restoration and hair growth. The follicles are, in effect, awakened from their inactive state and produce thicker, healthier hair.

Is It Safe for Hair Growth?

The LaserCap has been proven safe and effective as a treatment for male and female pattern hair loss. It offers easy, hands-free use, and it has no side effects.

After charging its battery pack, you simply insert the LaserCap into one of your own hats. Place the hat on your head, and turn it on for 30 minutes – do this up to four times in a given seven-day span. You can use it anywhere and at any time.

Besides its use as a standalone treatment to combat hair loss, the LaserCap can also be used in combination with other medical and surgical hair treatments.

In fact, numerous studies have shown that LaserCap and similar laser therapy can improve the outcome of these treatments if used in combination rather than by themselves. as However, like all other nonsurgical treatments for hair loss, your hair loss may continue as before if you stop using the LaserCap regularly.

Will It Work for My Hair Loss?

Results may vary among patients who use the LaserCap. Some people experience a reversal of their hair loss, while others notice that their hair loss may stop altogether or only slow down.

Those with more extensive hair loss may not attain significant results with the LaserCap on its own. In cases like these, Dr Niedbalski usually pairs the LaserCap with other proven therapies for maximum benefit. If you follow your treatment protocol as prescribed by Dr. Niedbalski, you will typically notice improvement in your hair within four to six months.
